Teris J. Deitsch, Esq.

Co-Founder & Partner

Teris Deitsch handles all family law matters including divorce, time-sharing (formally “custody”), child support, alimony, distribution of assets (including family businesses, investment plans, retirement plans and real property), modification and enforcement of prior court orders, paternity, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and domestic violence injunctions.  She is also trained in the Collaborative Law model and has completed several cases in this model.

Although Teris Deitsch is an experienced trial attorney, she is dedicated to exploring all reasonable and creative settlement options so that the best interests of the family as a whole may be served.  Teris believes that an advocacy approach based on problem-solving benefits her clients both emotionally and financially.

Teris is devoted to helping her clients set realistic, practical, and carefully chosen goals early in their case. Teris understands that her clients are dealing with one of the most overwhelming times of their lives so she works hard to support her clients both legally and emotionally throughout the entire process.

Teris received a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Florida with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.   Teris earned her law degree from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and graduated in the top 20 percent of her class.  While attending law school, Teris also received Book Awards (given to the top performing law student for a subject) in Criminal Procedure and Legal Drafting.

Teris is involved in many organizations in the legal community.  She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and has served on the Family Law Committee Executive Board since 2012, holding various positions including Chair, Co-Chair, Secretary, and CLE liaison.  Teris is also a member of the Central Florida Family Law Inn of Court, the Collaborative Family Law Group of Central Florida, and various voluntary bar associations, including serving on the board of the Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association, the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and Phi Alpha Delta, a professional law fraternity.  Teris is also proud to be a member of the Possibilities Group of the Peace and Justice Institute, an organization that promotes peace and justice for all and aims to promote inclusive, caring, and respectful environments.
