Paul Shafranski, Esq.

Co-Founder & Partner

A Florida native, Paul grew up in Winter Park and attended the University of Florida in Gainesville for both his undergraduate degree as well as his Juris Doctor.  While in law school, Paul served as a managing editor on the Florida Law Review and also graduated in the top 20 percent of his class.

Paul’s interest in family law began before he attended law school when he worked as a legal assistant for Teris Deitsch.  Working with Teris, Paul saw firsthand how a compassionate and innovative approach to family law matters helps clients find their way through difficult times.  After spending years in the hectic world of corporate law, Paul returned to his roots and founded Artemis Family Law Group with Teris, where he is able to focus on a client-centered practice.

After years of practicing family law the traditional way, Paul realized that families were not being served adequately by the damaging litigation process, where unique families and situations are shoehorned into one-size-fits-all legal proceedings more appropriate for business, criminal, and liability matters.  At that time, Paul pivoted his practice toward the Collaborative Model, where each family’s goals and interests are of utmost concern.  Paul believes Collaborative Family Law provides families the best opportunity to find creative solutions tailored to each family’s particular needs.  Paul is an active member of the Collaborative Family Law Group of Central Florida.  Additionally, Paul serves as Chair for the newsletter of the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals (FACP) and is a member of the FACP’s Access Committee and Leadership Institute.

While specializing in Collaborative Family Law and finding ways to amicably settle issues for families in crisis, Paul also focuses on appellate law, as he spent over two years serving as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Fourth District Court of Appeal for Judge Cory Ciklin.  Paul is experienced in appellate motion practice, procedural issues as well as substantive briefing, and is available to discuss potential appellate issues during litigation and to prosecute and defend an appeal in Florida.

In addition to the above-mentioned interests, Paul is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, where he is a former Co-Chair of the Civil Rights Law Committee.  Paul is also a member of the Central Florida Family Law Inn of Court, as well as various voluntary bar associations.  Paul considers volunteer work vital and serves as a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem for the Orange County Bar Association’s Legal Aid program and delivers weekly meals to senior citizens in Seminole County for Meals on Wheels.

Paul is prepared to discuss your family law matter with you and help demystify the legal and collaborative process so you can better understand your options.  Please contact him today to schedule a consultation to answer your questions.
